Beas/Rayya, Punjab (September 02, 2012): More than a thousand Sikhs gathered to attend Ardas samagam at Village Waraich near Beas where Dera Radha Swami management had destroyed the Gurudwara Baba Jeevan Singh to fulfil their ominous desire of expansion of dera.
Today’s ardas divas was called by joint committee formed by Sikh organizations including Shirmani Akali Dal Amritsar, Akali Dal Panch Pardhani, Damdami Taksal Ajnala, Panthic Sewa Lehar, Dal Khalsa and Khalsa Action Committee.
According to information available with Sikh Siyasat, the representatives of various Sikh organizations and Sikh Sangat in large numbers gathered at Gurudwara Amanatsar Novin Patshahi, Amritsar road, Beas. Here Sikh leaders addressed the gathering and appealed for maintaining discipline during a march that was to be conducted from Gurudwara Amanatsar to Gurudwara Sahib of Village Warraich.
In wake of today’s function heavy police force was deployed in the area and there were strict security arrangements in and around Village Waraich.
Sikh Siyasat sources have reported that today’s function organized by the Sikh organizations was a good show of discipline as Sangat marched from Gurudwara Amanatsar to Village Waraich in a peaceful manner, while reciting “Satnam-Waheguru”. Though the situation was very tense but no one tried to over-rule the directions issued by the Sikh leaders.
Some pro-dera Radha Swami Beas persons of village Waraich today issued a press release welcoming the Press and other persons but condemned the alleged attempts of Sikh organizations to “disturb” the peace of area. But on the other hand the march was hearty greeted by resident of village Waraich. Sikh residents of this village in large numbers, including women with Kesri duppatas, came out of their houses and joined the march.
Bhai Amrik Singh of Damdami Taksal (Ajnala) performed the Ardas at village Waraich Gurudwara Sahib before Sri Guru Granth Sahib. Panth urged Guru Sahib to bestow strength to secure reconstruction of Gurudwara Sahib that was recently destroyed by Dera Radha Swami Beas and further to safeguard the other Gurudwara Sahib situated in Village Waraich.
SAD Amritsar President S. Simranjeet Singh Mann, Akali Dal Panch Pardhani President Bhai Kulbir Singh Barapind, Bhai Amrik Singh (Damdami Taksal Ajnala), Baba Baljeet Singh Daduwal (Panthic Sewa Lehar) and Bhai Mohkam Singh (former leader of Damdami Taksal Mehta and convenor of Khalsa Action Committee) addressed the gathering and thanked Sikh Sangat for their support.
On this occasion a document regarding history of Dera Radha Swami and destruction of Village Waraich Gurudwara Sahib by Dera Radha Swami Beas was also distributed.
