Signature campaign for Sikh Genocide 1984 petition getting immense response: AISSF

Gurdaspur, Punjab (August 07, 2013): According to a written statement sent to Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) by All India Sikh Students Federation President Karnail Singh Peermohammad a campaign by AISSF for Sikh genocide 1984 petition is getting immense response.

The signature campaign is an international campaign to have United Nations investigate the killing of Sikhs in 1984 and declare it Genocide, which has been termed anti-Sikh riots despite the fact that killings were carried with genocidal intent in a systematic manner.

AISSF President has informed that more than 3 lakhs signatures have been secured so far; while the AISSF aims at securing 10 lakh signatures on the petition.

As per statement while addressing students at Baba Aya Singh Raiarki College Tugalwal AISSF president stressed girl education for creation of a society where there is no exploitation or discrimination.

He also hailed the college initiative to provide religious education to the students especially when Sikh children needed to be made aware of their glorious heritage and past.

The students present on the occasion signed the Sikh genocide peition. Karnail Singh Peermohammad has issued an appeal to the masses to visit http://www.1984yesitsgenocide.org/ and sign the petition.
