Kapurthala: Arrested leaders of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Satkar Committee were reportedly sen to Kapurthala jail after their police remand expired two days back. Bhai Sukhjit Singh Khosa and Gurmeet Singh Sodhi were presented in the court of Kapurthala’s Judicial Magistrate Indu Bala by police of Talwandi Chaudhrian police station. The court sent duo to Kapurthala jail on judicial custody till 23rd May.
Police had made tight security arrangements at Kapurthala’s court complex in wake of court appearance of Satikar Committee leaders. Duo were presented before the court of magistrate Indu Bala by a police party led by SHO Narinder Kumar at around 11am. The court commanded them to judicial custody or 14 days.
It is notable that Satikar committee leaders were to be presented before Sultanpur Lodhi’s judicial magistrate, but due to some undisclosed reasons the police presented them before the judicial magistrate of Kapurthala.
