Chandigarh: In press statement released by Aam Adami Party (AAP) leader and leader of opposition in Punjab Vidhan sabha HS Phoolka has termed the deliberate reference of the 1984 Sikh genocide by Badal Dal member Parliament from Anandpur Sahib Prem Singh Chandumajara as a mere publicity stunt and part of double standards adopted by SAD (Badal) on the issue.
Moreover, further adding to his statement he said that “despite being an alliance partner of BJP lead NDA government in the center SAD (Badal) has done nothing to assuage the pain of the genocide survivors and victims,” this deliberate act by Prem Singh Chandumajara of criticizing his own government is nothing but playing with emotions of the people effected at large.
Harsimrat Badal daughter-in-law of Parkash Singh Badal is a cabinet minister in the Narindra Modi government and should directly approach the India Prime Minister in tjis regard so as to provide maximum relief for the survivors of the massacre, he added.
