Fatehgarh Sahib: Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar (Mann) chief Simrajit Singh Mann today condoled demise of Pakistani Punjabi poet Afzal Ahsan Randhawa who passed away in Faislabad (Pakistan) on Monday (Sept. 18). In a written release issued today S. Mann said that when the Hindutva rulers of Indian subcontinent, led by the Congress party, had attacked Darbar Sahib Amritsar and other Sikh Gurdwaras in June 1984, it was Afzal Ahsan Randhawa who had heartily depicted the paid of the Ghallughara in his poetry.
S. Mann said that the Shiromani Gurdwara Prabhandak Committee should pass a resolution to condole the demise of the poet.
