Ludhiana: The Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar (Mann) has sought suspension of Dakha DSP Jaswinder Singh for ‘thrashing’ and misbehaving with Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa on April 11.
In a press release issued today SADA (Mann) leader Lakhvir Singh Kotla said that he talked to Bapu Surat Singh about yesterday’s incident in detail and he was told that Dakha DSP Jaswinder Singh had abused as well as thrashed Bapu Singh Singh. SADA (M) leader demanded immediate action against Dakha DSP and sought his suspension.
Bapu Surat Singh had reportedly removed the nasogastric tube used by the DMC hospital to feed him. DSP Jaswinder wanted to force Bapu Surat Singh to start taking liquid diet and water.
Bapu Surat Singh had started hunger strike in 2015 seeking release of Sikh political prisoners. He is presented admitted to DMC hospital in Ludhiana.
