Chandigarh: Former Aam Aadmi Party member and advocate H S Phoolka, who resigned from the primary membership of the party on January 3, has announced the formation of a new organisation named ‘Sikh Sevak Sangathan’. He said that he wants to depoliticise the Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC).
The volunteer force would have two units – one for depoliticisation of SGPC and the other for striving to eradication of drugs in Punjab, he added.
Addressing the media at the Chandigarh Press Club two days back, H S Phoolka said that the newly formed group will be a non-political one and all the members of the group will be barred from contesting the SGPC elections.
