New York, USA: Sikh, Tamil, Kashmiri and Bahujan diaspora groups will be holding a protest outside the United Nations headquarters in New York on September 27, 2019 from 11 am to 2 pm.
Various groups, including Sikh Youth of America and Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar (Mann), have announced to hold this protest to oppose lockdown imposed by Indian authorities in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IoK).
In a video message, Gurinderjit Singh Manna president of Sikh Youth of America said that the protest would coincide Narendra Modi’s presence in United Nations General Assembly in New York.
He said that the protesters would register strong protest Indian occupation of Kashmir, Demolition of Bhagat Ravidas Ji Temple in Delhi, threat to eliminate Punjabi language by imposing Hindi and human rights violations in India, including mob lynching of Bahujans and Muslims.
