Ludhiana, Punjab (November 09, 2012): With less than a week remaining in the release of Bollywood Hindi movie “Son of Sardar”, anger prevails among the Sikh circles as regards objections that were initially raised against the movie.

It is notable that Hindi movie that is home production of actor-cum-producer Ajay Devgn, is scheduled to be released on November 13, 2012.

Few days back Ajay Devgn had screened the movie for a society headed by a Congress MLC from Mulund, that had reportedly approved the film. But on the other hand many Sikh organizations, including Sikhi Sidak, Better Sikh School, Young Sikh Leaders, Bibek Trust, Dharmik Ekta Mission and Rising Events have issued a joint statement stating that Ajay Devgn had not cleared the objections thus the Sikhs should boycott the movie.

It has come to the notice of Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) that at least one major objection may not have been cleared by Ajay Devgn, because the promo of the movie that is currently being aired on “Star Gold” tv channel shows a Hindu god’s tattoo on Ajay Devgn’s chest, who is playing a lead character in the film as a Sikh or Sardar.

It is notable that AISSF (Peer Mohammad) and Advocate Navkiran Singh (Sikh Anti Deformation League) had objected to certain dialogues and scenes of the movie, including the tattoo scene. Ajay Devgn had held a meeting with SGPC,

AISSF and Badal Dal representatives in Amritsar (Punjab) to know the objections. He had declared in a joint press conference that the objections shall be cleared before the release of the movie. But now it seems that Ajay Devgn has defied the promise after getting clearance from Central Board of Film Certification (India).

SGPC Secretary Dalmegh Singh has reportedly said that Ajay Devgn was to show the movie to SGPC before it’s release. But he had no clues as to if Ajay Devgn would hold a screening of the movie for SGPC.

In a communication with Sikh Siaysat News (SSN) AISSF president Karnail Singh Peermohammad said: “Ajay devgan made commitments in front of media if he don’t do it, we will protest” but as regards promo that is currently being shown on Star Gold he added: “Star Gold is showing old tailors”. He expressed the hope that as promised by Ajay Devgn the movie would not show Sikhs in bad light.
