DSGMC election – One dead; Badals accuse Sarna supports for death of polling agent

New Delhi, India (January 27, 2013): The process of polling for Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) reportedly took a serious turn as a polling agent of Shiromani Akali Dal Badal also called Badal Dal died here due to alleged manhandling by Sarna supporters.

As per reports Harjit Singh, a SAD worker and a polling agent for the party at booth no. 8 in Kabool Nagar locality under Paschim Vihar constituency was allegedly manhandled by a group of people who came to cast their votes but were objected to by Harjit Singh.

Harjit Singh developed some problem and had to be rushed to hospital where he has declared brought dead.

As per media reports Badal Dal has alleged that it were the supporters of SAD Delhi led by Paramjit Singh Sarna and his brother Harvinder Singh Sarna, who were responsible for the death of their party worker.

The police are reportedly looking into the case.

The son of the deceased has also alleged that SAD Delhi men were responsible for t he death of his father.
