68th World Human Rights Day, Sikh body to Hold Protest against “Loot of Natural Resources” “Denial of Justice” On Dec 9th at Batala

Amritsar: Pro-Freedom Sikh Body Dal Khalsa along with its ancillary organisations such as All India Sikh Students Federation & Sikh Youth of Punjab is organizing a march to mark the 68th International Human Rights Day on 9th December 2016 at Batala. The march will be against state repression, loot of Punjab’s natural resources & human rights violation by the state, The family members of the victims will also attend the march.

Spokesmen of Dal Khalsa Kawar Pal Singh stated that a program is scheduled in the memory of the victims of forced disappearance,fake encounter and police brutality, The march will embarked from Bhai Sukha Singh and Bhai Mehtab Singh central park and before going ahead with the program prayers will offered at Gurudwara Satkartaria Sahab for those who have suffered state repression and brutalities of the Indian security forces.

He further added that “the main aim to organize the event is to become the voice of those being oppressed by Indian security forces and police brutalities, Countless families of those victims who were disappeared by the police are still pinning hope and waiting for the return of their loved ones, But the justice still evades them and are left in an utter despair” he said.

Participating spokesperson Peermohammad said “the central theme of the function is to revive the dying hopes of justice”. Others who were present include Ranbir Singh, Noblejit Singh, Gurpreet Singh and AISSF activist Gurdeep Singh.
