Ludhiana, Punjab (December 15, 2013): It is learnt that a Sikh youth named Gurpreet Singh of village Kila Hans was able to reach the stage of so-called World Kabbadi Cup at Guru Nanak Stadium Ludhiana to raise the voice of Bhai Gurbaksh Singh who is fasting for last one month seeking release of Sikh political prisoners who were languishing in various Indian jails despite serving full terms of their sentences.
Gurpreet Singh reportedly somehow reached on the stage where singer Jaspinder Narula was giving performance. On seeing Gurpreet Singh singer and her staff left the stage and Gurpreet Singh used the mic/sound to raise his concerns.

As per sources Gurpreet Singh is in police custody now. Some sources expressed the apprehension that he could be tortured by the police while in custody.
