Jalandhar: As per the media reports the Aam Aadmi Party’s NRI wing of the Punjab unit and local volunteers will seek details about the party’s Punjab and overseas funding in New Delhi on December 24. A delegation of the party’s NRI members is also expected there.
AAP NRI wing coordinator from Hoshiarpur, Virinder Singh Parihar, along with expelled founder member Naveen Jairath while speaking to The Tribune (TT) reportedly alleged that “AAP was refusing to make public the details of its money transactions and collection from Punjab and the US.
The duo added that they, along with a US delegation headed by Munish Raizada, would seek funding details from the party.”
As for now Jairath wrote an open letter to the Delhi Chief Minister and convener of the Aam Adami Party Arvind Kejriwal, alleging that his complaints were disregarded by him and party leader Durgesh Pathak.
While addressing the media today Parihar alleged, “AAP has amassed Rs 200 crore from across the state from ticket hopefuls. Zone observer Ashok Nanglia promised ticket to 8-10 volunteers in each Hoshiarpur constituency and took hefty amounts from them. No receipts were given.”
