Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) to contest Municipal elections in Punjab; A “Big leader” is set to Join AAP, says Chhotepur

Jalandhar, Punjab: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab has declared to contest all Municipal Corporations and Municipal Councils elections in Punjab. Announcement in this regard came from AAP Punjab convener Sucha Singh Chhotepur.

While addressing media persons at Jalandhar, he also declared that a “big leader” of Punjab would join Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on September 21.

Sucha Singh Chhotepur called upon Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers to remain prepared for the Municipal elections and organize people against ruling Badal-BJP combine and opposition Congress party.

AAP Punjab convenor said that the party leadership was yet to decide about election symbol for Municipal elections.

In reply to a question regarding organization structure of Aam Aadmi Party in Punjab, Chhotepur said that the AAP would hold district level meetings in Punjab before announcement of organization structure.

He said that party was set to hold district level meetings from September 16 to first week of October; but it would take Municipal election with priority.

Sucha Singh Chhotepur declared that AAP would hold distict level meetings at Firozepur and Fazilka (16 Sept.), Faridkot and Mukatsar (Sept. 18), Bathinda and Mansa (20 Sept.), Baba Bakala and Amritsar (21 Sept.), Moga (22 Sept.), Barnala and Sangrur (Sept 23), Hoshiarpur (24 Sept.), Jalandhar (25 Sept.), Ropar and Mohali (26 Sept), Khatkar Kalan, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar (Sept. 28), Gurdaspur and Pathankot (29 Sept.), Tarn Taran and Kapurthala (30 Sept.), Ludhiana (30 Oct.) and Patiala and Fatehgarh Sahib (4 Oct.).
