Aam Aadmi Party (Punjab) releases list of RTI wing Office Bearers

Chandigarh: The Aam Aadmi Party today released the list of RTI wing officer bearers. The list was released by Sanjay Singh (Incharge AAP’s affairs in Punjab), Durgesh Pathak (Organization Incharge AAP) and Sucha Singh Chhotepur (Convener AAP, Punjab).
A written press release by the Aam Aadmi Party’s Punjab unit says the party would use the RTI Act, 2005 to expose the misdeeds, corrupt working and unconstitutional means adopted by the SAD-BJP government during its tenure.

AAP has alleged that the present SAD-BJP government is trying to prevent legitimate information to be provided to the people of Punjab under the said Act, at all levels of the executive functioning.
“The government has also politicized the State Information Commission (SIC) by violating meritorious criteria of appointment of State Information Commissioners and promoting favoritism and nepotism in the said body. AAP will strive to ensure de politicization of this constitutional body so that transparent information is provided to the people of Punjab. A meeting of the newly appointed RTI wing office bearers and Zone Presidents will be convened shortly”, alleged AAP.
