Jalandhar, Punjab (May 22, 2014): According to a news reported by YesPunjab.Com:- Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Jalandhar unit Thursday protested against the arrest of party Convener and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
Kejriwal was yesterday ordered to be taken into custody by a Delhi court, after he refused to furnish bail bond of Rs. 10,000 as he appeared in the court in a case of defamation filed against him by former BJP president Nitin Gadkari.
AAP workers led by Jalandhar secretary Himanshu Pathak, candidate Jyoti Mann, Joginder Singh Multani assembled at District Administrative Complex and raised slogans in favour of Kejriwal.
They said they have assembled to show solidarity with AAP convener. Himanshu Pathak said, it was not crime to call a corrupt man corrupt.
He said that the leaders, workers, volunteers and supporters of AAP have felt shocked at the arrest of party chief.
