AAP women wing zone convener resigns; Alleges no respect for women in party

Ferozepur: Trouble in Aam Aadmi Party’s Punjab unit refuses to die down. After suspension of two Punjab MPs and leak of a phone call between Bhagwant Mann and Dharamvir Gandhi, there is another controversy surrounding AAP’s Punjab unit.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)’s women wing convener for Ferozepur, Faridkot and Khadoor Sahib districts Amandeep Kaur reportedly resigned from her post yesterday.

She said at a meeting in Mohali two months ago, three leaders misbehaved with her, but no one took cognisance of the incident.

“I had brought the matter to the notice of senior leaders, but no action was taken. It seems there is no respect for women,” she alleged.
