April 15, 2015 | By

Talwandi Sabo: Aam Aadmi Party held its first political conference at Talwandi Sabo (Bathinda) on the occasion of Vasakhi. The party leaders targeted the trend of nepotism prevailing in Punjab politics from decades.

AAP leader H. S. Phoolka said that SIT (Special Investigation Team) formed by Narendra Modi government is a sitting duck from day one. It has failed to deliver anything so far. Labeling Narendra Modi led BJP government as ‘fascist’, Advocate Phoolka said there was no hope for justice from Modi’s government.

Party leader Sanjay Singh claimed that AAP will be ruling in Punjab after assembly election of 2017. He said that the Punjab government is violating rights of farmers by denying them proper compensation. He informed that the AAP government in Delhi has announced comparatively high compensation of Rs. 50000/- per hectare for the farmers who faced crop loss due to excessive rain this year.

‘Political parties can be referred as private firms synonymously’ he added.

Strongly opposing the land acquisition bill, he appealed the masses of Punjab to join AAP’s protest at Jantar Mantar on April 22 to protest against government.

After securing swiping victory in Delhi assembly election, AAP is eying on Punjab.

Other parties like Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar), Bahujan Samaj Party, Bharti Communist Party, Farmer Organizations etc. didn’t organize their conferences this year.
