Abduction of Shruti- Dal Khalsa asks Sukhbir Badal to act fast and show the results

Dal Khalsa

Faridkot/Punjab (October 17, 2012): Blaming police officials for their inept handling of the case at the outset, the Dal Khalsa has expressed its solidarity with the parents of abducted girl Shruti and asked the Home Minister SS Badal to act fast and show the results.

We can well understand the concern and pain of Shruti’s parents, who needs all out support from the society in their hour of grief, said party head H S Dhami and secretary for human rights affairs Prithpal Singh.

The broad day light abduction carried out by a youth speaks of the sorry state of law and order affairs, they said and added that the flip-flop by police officers has further spoiled the case.

We urge state’s home minister and home secretary to break their silence and redouble their efforts to deliver the justice to Shruti and her parents. “Not only Shruti’s parents but every father and mother who have a young girl at home were at pains to see the culture of goondaism prevailing in Punjab and this was a test time for Sukhbir Badal to show his competency and leadership”, said they.
