Acting Jathedars disapprove Bhai Hawara’s appeal regarding Maryada issue

Amritsar: Acting Jathedars appointed by Panthic gathering of Nov. 10, 2015 reportedly held a meeting at the Akal Takht Sahib on June 17. Bhai Dhian Singh Mand, Bhai Amrik Singh Ajnala and Bhai Baljit Singh Daduwal are reported to have disapproved an appeal that was recently issued on the name of Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara, who was appointed as Jathedar of Akal Takht Sahib by the organizers of the aforesaid Panthic gathering.

The acting Jathedars disapproved the ‘appeal’ issued on Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara’s name by his counsel and spokesperson Advo. Amar Singh Chahal stating that “the message was neither released by Bhai Jagtar Singh nor it bear his signatures”.

Notably, Bhai Hawara’s lawyer had released a message of Bhai Jagtar Singh two days back in which he had requested the Sikh panth to not to rake up those issues regarding which there were differences among various sections of the Sikh panth. In that appeal, Bhai Hawara had particularly requested the Sikh sangat to not to question the authenticity of Sikh Rehat Maryada approved by the Akal Takht Sahib.
