New Delhi, India (February 13, 2013): Bhai Paramjeet Singh Bheora, a Sikh inmate at Tihar Jail, Delhi reportedly told certain media sections through his brother Jarnail Singj that Afzal Guru was in high spirits before being hanged. Afzal, a Kashmiri muslim was reportedly hanged outside his cell in Delhi’s Tihar Jail by Indian authorities on February 09, 2013.

As per certain media reports Bhai Bheora was presented in a local court at Delhi on February 11, where he told his brother Jarnail Singh that there was no signs of fear on the face of Afzal Guru and he was in high spirits.

As per a front-page news carried by a Punjabi vernacular published from Mohali (Punjab), Bhai Bherora said that Afzal Guru met and hugged him before his execution.

“Keep on the light of truth” Afzal reportedly told Bheora. While referring to his execution Afzal reportedly said that it was a “coward act by a coward government”.

It is notable that Bhai Paramjeet Singh Bheora is currently lodged at Tihar Jail along with Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara. Bhai Hawara and another, Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana were awarded death sentence by trial court in Punjab CM Beant Singh  assassination case. It is notable that High Court had changed the sentence awarded to Bhai Hawara to life imprisonment while upholding the death sentence awarded to Bhai Rajoana.

Many Sikh circles are suspecting that India may execute Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana in a secret operation like Afzal Guru.
