AISSF (Peer Mohammad) Seeks Ban on Life OK TV show on Maharaja Ranjit Singh

Chandigarh: Alleging that a TV serial on the life of Maharaja Ranjit Singh by LifeOK television distorts Sikh history and attempts of malign Sikh principals, the All India Sikh Students Federation (Peer Mohammad) today sought ban on it’s telecast. AISSF chief Karnail Singh (Peer Mohammad) said that the serial was  an attempt to saffronise the Sikh history.

“The serial attempts to present the King of Punjab as a patriot of ‘Hind’, which is highly offensive”, said Karnail Singh.

He said that Hindutavi Indian media was deliberately making such attempts to distort Sikh history in order to further their Hindutva agenda. He urged the SGPC to remain vigilant in these cases.
