Jalandhar: All India Sikh Students Federation (AISSF) led by Karnail Singh Peermohammad has announced to hold a ‘candle light vigil’ in Jalandhar in support of Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa who is on hunger strike since 14th of November 2014.

AISSF president Karnail Singh Peermohammad told Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) that the candle light vigil will mark 66th World Human Rights Day. “The march and vigil will express solidarity and support for Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa who has been fasting for last 25 days seeking release of Sikh political prisoners” said Peermohammd.

Other issues to be highlighted by the ‘march and vigil’ are ‘religious discrimination against Sikhs under Article 25 of Indian Constitution’ and ‘the Sikh Genocide of 1984’.

Peermohammad said that ‘march and vigil’ will begin from Guru Nanak Mission Gurdwara at 5 pm after performing ardas. The march shall end at Gurdwara Model Town in Jalandhar.
