Chandigarh: Another case against Sikh Political Prisoner Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara came to an end as the Punjab police belonging to Rajpura city police station clarified that he was not wanted in that case anymore.
Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara’s counsel Advocate Jaspal Singh Manjhpur and Advocate Nirmal Singh told Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) that the case was registered against Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara on July 03, 2005 by Rajpura Police under FIR no. 37/2005, police station City Rajpura under section 25 of Arms Act and sections 3, 4 of Explosives Act.

He further said that the Tihar Jail authorities recently informed Bhai Jagtar Singh about various cases ‘pending’ against him in papers. Following which an application was moved in a Rajpura court to know the status of the case. The court had told Rajpura police to file status report before the court.
“The City Rajpura police incharge told the court of SDJM, Harvinder Singh Sindhia that Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara was not wanted in this case” informed Advo. JS Manjhpur. “The court has clarified that the case stands as dissolved now” he added.
