Antim Ardas of Deep Sidhu to be held at Fatehgarh Sahib on February 24

Chandigarh: Antim Ardas of Punjabi film star cum social activist Deep Sidhu will be held at Diwan Todar Mal Hall, Fatehgarh Sahib on February 24, 2022. Deep Sidhu was killed in a road accident at KMP on February 15. His Antim Sanskar was held at the cremation ground of village Tharike near Ludhiana, which was attended by people, particularly youth, from across the region. Sikh personalities like Bhai Daljit Singh Bittu, former member parliament S. Simranjit Singh Mann and Sikh political analyst Bhai Ajmer Singh had also attended Deep Sidhu’s feuneral.

 

Deep Sidhu had gained prominence during the farmers protest. He had organised Shambhu Morcha at Shambhu Barrier on Punjab-Haryana border near Rajpura before farmers marched to Delhi on November 26, 2020. He had considerable appeal among Sikh activist circles.

Some Sikh activist sections have called for impartial investigation expressing suspicion over circumstances surrounding Deep Sidhu’s death.
