Arun Jaitley releases silver coin commemorating Baba Banda Singh Bahadur

New Delhi: India’s Information and Broadcasting Minister Arun Jaitley Tuesday (June 21) released commemorative silver coin to mark the 300th Shaheedi Day of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur.
Baba Banda Singh Bahadur was first sovereign ruler of Punjab and first Sikh leader who established the first Sikh Raj.
Arun Jaitly released coin on Baba Banda Singh Bahadur
Releasing the coins manufactured in association with MMTC, Jaitley said there is a need to educate people about the rich history and tradition of Punjab including its leaders like Baba Banda Singh Bahadur.
He also suggested Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee to make a documentary on the life and times of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur.
