New Delhi: As Delhi is witnessing state-backed violence and attacks on Muslim minority, the Sikh Gurdwaras are offering help and giving shelters to Muslim families fleeing violence.
Novelist Nilanjana Roy tweeted: “In one part of Delhi, a gurdwara opens its doors to Muslims and anyone who needs shelter”.
“In Seelampur, Dalits blocked the roads against mobs, sheltered their Muslim neighbours. Police and politicians have forgotten their duty; but the people have courage and heart”, she added.
Sources told Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) that when violence against Muslims was in full swing in Delhi on February 24, Gurudwara Majnu-Da-Tilla gave shelter to those in distress and protected them.
By February 25 many Sikh Gurdwaras are offering help and shelter to those being targeted by attackers in Delhi.
