Jalandhar : During the last thirty days, more than ten thousand unarmed Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces, and most of them are innocent children. Israel’s bombardment of hospitals, refugee camps and shelter homes has scattered dead bodies everywhere, and all this destruction has left the world helpless. The world is watching helplessly.

These were the views shared by the Dal Khalsa leader through a statement issued to the media on the completion of one month of the war broke between Israel and the Palestinian people.

The pro-freedom Sikh organisation apprehended that the direct or indirect go-ahead given by the powerful NATO countries to Israel to kill the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip can become a threat to the world’s peace and stability.

Secretary for political affairs Kanwar Pal Singh has expressed deep concern over the loss of lives of thousands of unarmed Palestinian people and appealed to the powerful countries of the world to play their role effectively role for an immediate ceasefire.

He said that what’s happening to the people of Palestine today fits in the definition of genocide. He said that they regretted the bloodshed of innocent persons on both the sides since Oct 7.

The Dal Khalsa leader strongly criticized the Indian government for exposing its duplicity by not voting in favor of the UN ceasefire resolution. On the one hand, the Indian government claims to recognize the freedom struggle of the Palestinian people, on the other hand, it has adopted an insensitive and non-serious approach towards the efforts of the United Nations to prevent the human catastrophe taking place inside Palestine.

He said that there’s mourning in Palestine where women and children are facing terrible persecution and destruction. He raised the question and asked where the world is going on? He commented that words like humanity and human values have lost their meanings.

Accusing Israel of violating international laws and treaties, the Dal Khalsa leader said that the international community should not appear helpless to come to rescue for those people, who are without food, water and electricity.
