Baba Hardeep Singh Mehraj and Lakha Sidhana Sent to Judicial Custody Till June 6

Bathinda:Dal Khalsa vice-president Hardeep Singh Mehraj and Malwa Youth Federation leader Lakha Sidhana were produced in the court of judicial magistrate first class (JMFC) Amandeep Singh at Talwandi Sabo on Friday (May 25). The court sent them to judicial remand till June 6.
Duo were arrested from Moga on Thursday (May 24), when they were heading towards Shahkot to raise the issue of contamination of water, especially after the leakage of molasses into the Beas from a Kiri Afghana based Sugar Mill.

Meanwhile, Aam Aadmi Party MLA from Kotkapura, Kultar Singh Sandhwan alleged that duo were arrested to prevent him from raising the issue of contamination of water. Terming the arrest as unfortunate, he demanded that their release.
