Hassanpur/ Ludhiana: Bandi Singhs Rihai Sangharsh Committee constituted to spearhead the struggle of Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa, today held a Panthik convention in Gurudwara Sahib of village Hassanpur. The motive of the convention was to deliberate the future strategy for the struggle initiated by Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa seeking release of political Sikh prisoners.
The convention concluded up with the decision to give call for Ludhiana shut down on July 10. Sangharsh Committee’s convener S. Gurdeep Singh Bathinda informed that the meeting to chalk out the details of Ludhiana shut down program will be held on July 8.

S. Gurdeep Singh Bathinda also informed that Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa might stop drinking water if the Punjab government tries to arrest him.
The convention was started by Sangharsh Committee after performing Ardas at Gurdwara Sahib. S. Jaspal Singh Heran, editor of Rozana Pehredar acted as stage secretary.
SGPC member Bhai Kulbir Singh Barapind highly appreciated the commitment and dedication of Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa towards Panth. He said that Bapu Surat Singh has exhibited the values to execute a struggle against state.
S. Jaskaran Singh Kahan Singh Wala, General Secretary of Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar), said that the State’s inhuman atrocities on Sikh detainees shows that Sikhs are being treated as ‘slaves’ in Hindutva India.
Addressing the Sikh sangat S. Baljit Singh Khalsa (Editor of monthly Punjabi Magazine ‘Vangaar’) said that Bapu Surat Singh’s struggle will cause the collapse of anti-Panthik Punjab Government led by Badal. He said that expecting justice for Sikhs in this Indian state is like expecting milk from Bull.
