Bapu Surat Singh’s hunger strike enters 113th day: Akhand Path Sahib begins at Village Hassanpur

Ludhiana, Punjab: Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa’s hunger strike crossed 113 days. The Sikh sangat today started the Akhand Paath of Sri Guru Granth Sahib at village Hassanpur for success of Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa struggle.

Bhog of Akhand Paath will be held on May 10. A Panthic Conference will be organised at on May 10 after the bhog of Akhand Paath Sahib.

It is notable that Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa is on hunger strike since January 16. He is demanding premature release of Sikh political prisoners who have severed minimum mandatory terms of their ‘life imprisonment’ sentences.

Bibi Sarvarinder Kaur, daughter of Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa told Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) over phone that Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa has turned physically so week that he could not even speak now. She said that her father is even faces problem even while drinking water.

She also issued an appeal to the Panth to attend May 10 Panthic conference at village Hassanpur.
