Bathinda: As per the media reports in order to press in the Punjab government to take action against those responsible for the beadbi incidents of Sri Guru Granth Sahib, the Sikh sangat has decided to hold protest on 1st June at Bargadi village  in Faridkot district.

“During campaign, the Amarinder Singh lead Congress had promised to arrest those involved in the desecration incidents, but nothing has been done,” said acting Jathedar Baljit Singh Daduwal while interacting with the media. While addressing the media persons in a press conference he further stated that while culprits involved in desecration of Guru Granth Sahib Ji at Bargari in 2015 are yet to be nabbed, as many 17 incidents have been reported during the tenure of the new government.

Furthermore, he reportedly criticised Badal Akali Dal for its callous attitude towards the reconstruction issue of Gurudwara Gyan Godari at Haridwar.

“SAD (Badal) wants to project its panthic face to take political mileage by raking up the issue while Sikh organisations have been struggling for constructing the gurdwara for past many years,” he maintains.
