Beadbi of Sri Guru Granth Sahib reported in Badesh Kalan near Khamano

Khamano: As per media reports an incident of beadbi of Sri Guru Granth Sahib took place in village Badesh Kalan in Khamano, on Monday.

According to the information, 8 torn Angs of Sri Guru Granth Sahib were found in village.

The police have initiated the investigation. According to some reports, a suspect was also seen in a CCTV footage.

UPDATE: 30 August, 2016: A Granthi was today arrested in relation to beadbi of Guru Granth Sahib Ji at Badesh Kalan village.

As per media reports Jasvir Singh, serving as ‘granthi’ at a Gurdwara in Manala village, was arrested and police recovered the Saroop of Guru Granth Sahib, eight Angs of which were found torn.

Police says that investigations were still on and the arrested persons is on police remand.
