Amritsar: Bhai Dhian Singh Mand who was announced as acting Jathedar of Akal Takhat Sahib by organizers of the Sarbat Khalsa 2015 yesterday has reportedly been arrested by the Punjab police. He was reportedly arrested late this evening and was kept at Chheharta police station.
Earlier this evening Bhai Dhian Singh Mand addressed Sikh sangat and media in front of Akal Takhat Sahib.
Manbir Singh Mand, nephew of Bhai Dhian Singh Mand, has confirmed the news of his arrest. He said that he police says that he would be produced before a local court tomorrow morning.
Manbir Singh Mand told Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) over phone that Jaskaran Singh Kahan Singh Wala, Satnam Singh Manawan and Sikandar Singh Waran were also arrested along with Bhai Dhian Singh Mand.

Notably, S. Simranjeet Singh Mann, Bhai Mohkam Singh and Gurdeep Singh Bathinda – who were main organizers of the yesterday’s Sarbat Khalsa 2015 event were arrested earlier this morning by the Punjab police. S. Simranjeet Singh Mann is reportedly admitted in a local hospital by the police as his health condition was not well.
