Bhai Dhian Singh Mand, others sent to jail; S. Simranjeet Singh Mann released

Amritsar: Organisers of the ‘Sarbat Khalsa 2015’, including Bhai Dhian Singh Mand, United Akal Dal (UAD) chief Bhai Mohkam Singh and Bhai Baljit Singh Daduwal were sent to jail today.
Meanwhile, according to the Hindustan Times, the police today released Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) president Simranjeet Singh Mann.
The police had detained Bhai Dhian Singh Mand yesterday evening near Hall Gate (Amritsar) after he was returning after addressing the Sikh sangat and media in front of the Akal Takhat Sahib. He was appointed as acting Jathedar of the Akal Takhat Sahib by the organizers of the November 10 gathering.
