Amritsar: Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa, who is on indefinite and continuous hunger strike at Gurdwara Lakhnaur Sahib in Ambala since November 14, 2014 seeking release of Sikh political prisoners, has announced to go to Amritsar to pay obeisance at the Darbar Sahib on January 8. Meanwhile his hunger strike crossed 55th day today.
Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa’s press secretary Gurpreet Singh Guri reportedly told media that a march will be held from Gurdwara Lakhnaur Sahib (Ambala) to Darbar Sahib (Amritsar) on January 08.
“On January 8, our ‘kafila’ will start from Lakhnaur Sahib at 9am and reach Amritsar by 5 in the evening. The route for the first day is final and we will approach Amritsar via Khanna-Ludhiana-Jalandhar. We are mulling on our route for the second day. We can follow Amritsar-Tarn Taran-Moga-Faridkot-Barnala-Sangrur-Patiala-Ambala route on the second day, but we are still discussing it,” said Gurpreet Singh Guri.
An update by Gurpreet Singh Guri Hans says that the march shall pass out through Ambala city, Rajpura, Sirhind, Gobindgarh, Khanna, Doraha, Ludhiana Uchha Pul, Phillaur, Goraya, Phagwara, Jalandhar city, Bidhipur Phatak, Kartarpur, Beas, Jandiana and Amritsar city before reaching Darbar Sahib.
