Bhai Gurbaksh Singh returns to site of Morcha, Health condition turning serious; Damandeep Singh requested to end his fast

Amb Sahib/ Mohali, Punjab (December 11, 2013): As per information Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa has returned to the site of Bandi Singhs Rihai Morcha on the early morning of December 10, 2013. He was reportedly admitted to the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) Chandigarh by the Punjab police after getting his released from Ropar Jail.

According to information Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa, who has been on fast unto death since November 14 has deteriorated to serious extend. He is seeking release of political Sikh prisoners languishing in various jails in India even after completing the terms of their sentences.

Meanwhile, Bhai Damandeep Singh Khalsa, a Sikh youth who had started indefinite hunger strike after the arrest of Bhai Gurbaksh Singh by the Punjab police was asked to end his strike after the return of Bhai Gurbaksh Singh.

Bhai Gurbaksh Singh’s initiative has spread global awareness about the issue of Sikh prisoners but there has been little progress at the level of concerned authorities as none of the concerned state governments or administrators of the Union Territories has responded to the memorandums submitted to them in this regard.
