New Delhi: As per media reports one person died and five others were injured in an explosion at Naya Bazaar in Chandni Chowk, Delhi, on Tuesday morning.
According toVirendra Chahal, Joint Commissioner of Police (Northern Range) the “prima facie it looks like a firecracker explosion in a jute bag”.
The police said the explosion could have been a cylinder blast also, The Times of India reported.
The identity of the person killed has yet to be confirmed.
Local Councillor Surekha Gupta said the explosion destroyed nearby shops, Hindustan Times reported. More details were awaited at the time of writing this news.
