Capt. Kanwaljit Singh’s daughter joins Aam Aadmi Party

Chandigarh: Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) leader a three-time MLA from Sri Hargobindpur Balbir Singh Batth joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) yesterday.

Late Badal Dal leader Capt Kanwaljit Singh’s wife Sarbjeet Kaur and daughter Manpreet Kaur, besides singer Sukhwinder Singh Sukhi, also joined AAP.

A local political outfit, Secular Lok Raj, led by former Congress leader Harchand Singh Barsath, announced its unconditional merger with AAP.

Welcoming the leaders into AAP’s fold, In-charge of AAP’s affairs in Punjab, Sanjay Singh, State Convenor of the party, Sucha Singh Chhotepur and Faridkot MP Sadhu Singh said that time is ripe that all Punjabis should raise their voice against the misrule of Badals.

Sanjay Singh said that Late Captain Kanwaljit Singh, Captain Balbir Singh Bath, Harchand Singh Barsat and Singer Sukhwinder Sukhi have contributed a lot for the welfare of people and their joining AAP would definitely boost the party’s prospects in the forthcoming assembly election.
