New Delhi, India: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), after registering the FIR against the Dera Sauda Sirsa chief, Gurmeet Ram Rahim in mass castration case, has started the detailed probe.
A four member SIT team visited Sirsa last week,where the dera headquarters is located. The team which reached Sirsa on Thursday (January 08) mapped the dera complex including the old dera and the big dera.
The CBI SIT team members reportedly visited the markets, hospitals and other institutions. The CBI sleuths parked their official vehicle in the main town and then hired private auto-rickshaws to reach the dera.
CBI sources reportedly told certain media section that the agency is not keen to question Dera chief in Sirsa and may bring him to Delhi for questioning in the castration case. The Dera chief can also be arrested if he resisted.
“The Dera chief may also be arrested for questioning if he did not co-operate,” India Today quotes an unnamed CBI source.
Media reports say finding the castrated followers will not be an easy job as the castrations were done 14 years ago.
