Amritsar, Punjab (September 19, 2013): A video clip by NDTV, one of the Hindi news channels in India, has revealed that how the Punjab police planted drugs on a person named Sarabjeet Singh and arrested him under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
The news reports shows a CC TV footage recorded from a security cam at a Patrol Pump from where Sarabjeet Singh was arrested which shows that a persons, supposedly a police personal had planted drugs packet in Sarabjit Singh’s scooter and he was arrested by the police.
However, the FIR registered by the police shows that Sarabjeet Singh was arrested on a check post and 500 gm heroin was recovered from him.
This incident exposes the practice of the Punjab police to plant fake recoveries on innocent persons and frame them in false cases.
