New Delhi: The Supreme Court of India (SCI) had recently asked a trial court in Chandigarh to depute a court officer to collect record of CM Beant Singh assassination case from the registry of the SCI. The order was part of directions issued by the SCI to direct the trial court to resume trial of Beant assassination case against Bhai Jagtar Singh Tara.
