Ajitwal (Moga): The Punjab Deputy Chief Minister, Sukhbir Badal has come down heavily on Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Congress for allegedly stooping so low as to the extent of practicing narrow politics.

According to a written press release issued by Dy. CM’s office, [c]omparing both the parties with the East India Company, Sukhbir Badal said that the sole agenda of these parties is centered on robbing Punjab of its prosperity for which they can go to any length. He further said that keeping in view the destructive agenda of these power hungry parties, the people of Punjab should stay cautious and thwart any nefarious design of these anti-Punjab forces.

“Addressing people here today during the 2nd day of sangat darshan at Nihal Singh Wala, the Deputy Chief Minister said that Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) is the only party working tirelessly round the clock to ensure development and prosperity of the state and mitigates the problems faced by Punjabi community worldwide, being their true representative. He said that the amount of development unleashed by the SAD-BJP government during previous 9 years remains unparalled and expressed strong hope that the SAD-BJP would score a hat-trick in 2017 thus continuing the legacy of serving the people selflessly”, the statement reads.

In his interaction with the media-persons, the Deputy Chief Minister said that Congress and AAP are wilfuly defaming Punjab just to further their electoral prospects. Taking on Captain Amarinder Singh, he said that the PPCC President has still not come out clean concerning the acceptance of honour from extremist elements in Dixie Gurudwara in Canada. Terming the politics being practiced by Captain Amarinder Singh as only centered on making merry, S. Badal said that Captain has got no developmental agenda regarding Punjab to showcase before people.

Calling AAP a party of rejected people, S. Badal said that this party cannot list even a single futuristic progressive measure for Punjab.

Earlier at Ajitwal during 2nd day of sangat darshan programme , the Deputy Chief Minister distributed cheques of grants worth Rs. 5.32 crore to the 28 panchayats of Nihal Singh Wala constituency besides releasing special grant of Rs. 20 lakh for a school under Lala Lajpat Rai Yaadgari Committee.
