Dal Khalsa condemns killing of a Sikh businessman in Peshawar

Amritsar, Punjab (August 06, 2014): Dal Khalsa today strongly condemned the killing of a Sikh businessman and injuring of other two by unknown gunmen in northwestern city of Pakistan.

Party spokesperson Kanwar Pal Singh said unknown gunman fired indiscriminate on Sikhs at Shadab market in Hashtnagri area of Peshawar city. He said the innocent Sikhs were being targeted with no fault of theirs.

He urged the Mian Nawaz Sharif government to take firm steps to ensure the safety and protection of lives and properties of minority community over there. He said the Pakistan government must nab and punish the miscreant killers so as to ensure justice to aggrieved family.

Notably, unidentified armed men opened fire at three shops located in a market in Hastnagri (Peshawar) killing a Sikh trader and injuring two others.
