Bhai Gajinder Singh , votary of Khalistan, had hijacked Delhi-Srinagar flight on September 29, 1981 along with four more persons and is wanted by India. His name figures in the list of 20 fugitives demanded by India from Pakistan.

While releasing a book penned by Bhai Gajinder Singh, Dal Khalsa president Harcharanjit Singh Dhami said Bhai Gajinder Singh had undergone life imprisonment in hijacking case and he couldn’t be tried twice in a same case. Dhami reiterated that government should delete his name from the list of fugitives.

He stressed that Bhai Gajinder should have the freedom to choose his resident status while adding that “he has no desire to return to India”.
