Dal Khalsa rejects Hindutva phenomenon, says Sikhs are unlike Hindus

Amritsar, Punjab (August 18, 2014): Rejecting the Hindutva phenomenon, the Dal Khalsa reiterated that Sikhs are unlike Hindus and they take pride in their distinct and separate identity.

Lashing out at RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat for once again repeating that India is a Hindu nation, all citizens are Hindus and Hindutva is its identity, party spokesperson Kanwar Pal Singh warned the RSS and its leadership to desist from teasing and striking at the identical roots of the Sikhs and other minorities.

He said the RSS is hell bent to materialize their long dream to make India a Hindu Rashtar. “We have no objections to their dream, but one thing is clear Punjab won’t be part of Hindu rashtar”, he said in a strong reaction to RSS chief’s utterances.

He said the Dal Khalsa would not allow the RSS to implement their fascist agenda in Punjab and divide the people on communal lines as Punjab is a land of great Gurus and Sikh martyrs.

He called upon people to defeat the nefarious designs of the saffron party.
