Troy, MI: In collaboration with Dasvandh Network (DVN) and United Sikhs, the sangat at Khalsa Care Foundation Gurdwara in California has made a pledge to give a $10,000 donation to the Puerto Rico Emergency Relief Fund to encourage the Sikh Sangat around the United States to raise the same amount.

Immediately after Hurricane Maria, the United Sikhs Disaster Relief team mobilized to support the most remote areas of Puerto Rico. Over 95% of the region’s infrastructure has collapsed, including basic access to power and water. With torrential rains nearly everyday, there have been countless floods, landslides, and washouts to even those homes and structures that were still standing. It has been over 5 weeks since Hurricane Maria and many places are still without power. With this opportunity, your tax-deductible donation of $10 can become $20, $50 can become $100. Any amount you give will have twice the impact on becoming part of the solution!
