New Delhi: A group of Sikhs today took out a protest march against Rashtriya Sikh Sangat (RSS) event at Talkatora Stadium in Delhi but as soon as they come out of Gurdwara Rakabganj Sahib the police blocked their way and prevented them from moving further.

The protesters, including members of Sikh Sadbhawna Dal, Panthic Sewa Dal and United Sikh Mission lashed out at the Rashtriya Sikh Sangat (RSS) for making attempts to distort the imago of the Sikh Guru Sahib.

The Sikh protesters also criticised the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) and it’s chief Manjit Singh GK for not representing the sentiments of the Sikh Panth and for failing to stand by and ensure implantation of 2004 edict of the Akal Takht Sahib- which declared the Rashtriya Sikh Sangat as anti-Panthic group.

Notably, the Rastriya Sikh Sangat- an offshoot of Hindutva outfit Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) is organising a Samagam at Talkatora Stadium in Delhi today (Oct. 25, 2017) under the guise of commemorating 350th Parkash Gurpurab of Guru Gobind Ji. The outfit was identified as an ‘anti-Panthic’ group by the Akal Takht Sahib and an edict was issued against it in July 2004.
