Ludhiana/Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh and Punjab police chief Suresh Arora held a press conference on November 7, 2017 and announced that the case related to killing of RSS leader Brigadier (Retd.) Jagidh Gagneja. CM and DGP accused British citizen Jagtar Singh Jaggi, Ramandeep Singh Bagga, Hardeep Singh Shera and others in this case. But now it has come into light that even after 8 months there has been no formal arrest in this case till date.

Defence council Advocate Jaspal Singh Manjhpur confirmed this fact during a video talk with ‘Daily Post’ news channel. “Punjab CM and DGP Punjab had named Jagtar Singh Jaggi and others in Jagdish Gagneja case during their press conference but till date none of them is formally arrested in this case”, said he.

“The chargesheets filed by NIA in other cases stated that the Jagdish Gagneja case was being investigated by the CBI. We moved an application before the CBI case seeking clarity on the matter that whether any of the arrested youth were wanted in Jagdish Gagneja case but the CBI did not stated anything substantive in their reply and the application was disposed off”, he added.

He maintained that the investigating agencies are deliberately delaying the cases. “It seems that they are waiting us to file reply to chargesheets in the NIA court so that they could know the points of defence and fill out gaps in their story, that are certainly there, in Jagdish Gagneja case”, he added.
