Farmers from Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and other regions of India are demonstrating on the outskirts of India’s capital city demanding rollback of new farming legislations passed by the Government of India.
Indian police have registered cases against hundreds of farmers and many farmers unions leaders. Journalists covering the farmers protests are also framed in cases. Social media activists who have been extending their support to farmers protests are also being jailed after framing them under charges like sedition.
